Mission Statement: Providence Connections, Inc. works to serve North Side families with comprehensive, family-first programs aimed at meeting the diverse needs in one of the city’s most vulnerable communities. Providence Connections provides a comprehensive continuum of care and support for children age 6 weeks to 12 years through high-quality child care, curriculum-based early childhood education programs, summer day camp, and an after-school program. As a priority set forth by the Sisters of Divine Providence, nearly 70% of families with children enrolled in the childcare program receive state subsidized tuition. PFSC provides in-home visiting with all families who have young children (ages birth to middle school), guidance toward reaching educational and employment goals, and a variety of adult enrichment classes via our Parent Education Program.

Mission Statement: The Cancer Caring Center, established in 1988, provides free emotional and social support to cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones so that no one confronts cancer alone. Services include individual counseling, over 20 community support groups, the only young adult cancer support program in Western PA, nutrition classes, art therapy, reiki, gentle yoga, hands on therapy. The Center is the only organization in Pittsburgh that provides free Ensure (nutritional supplement) to cancer patients who qualify.
